Rugby Sevens for the Olympics!

This highly exciting and popular version of rugby may become part of the Olympic programme of  events.

This will boost the appeal and attraction of the game.

The sevens - a short version of rugby with seven a side, is already part of the Commonwealth Games. Rugby in its full version was last played in the Olympics in 1924.

Rugby sevens is a game well-suited for the Olympics.

The full International Olympic Committee will make a final decision in October when they meet in Copenhagen. It is a favourite, together with golf, to be included in the 2016 Olympics.
